The Role – Deputy Manager
* Support the Store Manager day-to-day and take full responsibility for all aspects of running the store in their absence. Manage people, financial performance, store standards, and customer service.
* Lead by example to create an excellent culture and working environment, demonstrating the values: Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, Together.
* Ensure you and your team deliver exceptional customer service and a great shopping experience with strong pet and product knowledge.
* Deliver the highest standards of pet care and promote responsible pet ownership.
The Skills
* A passion for pets and people, delivering an unrivalled shopping experience.
* Previous retail management experience, deputising for the Store Manager and managing the business daily.
* Team player with effective communication and the ability to build high performing teams.
* Proven track record in developing business performance, meeting KPIs, and maintaining store standards including health & safety and legal compliance.
* Commercial awareness with proactive planning and organization skills.
* Full-time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
