Maintenance Engineer
Location: Colne
Shift Pattern: Days Mon‑Fri
Rate £45p/h
Gap Technical are seeking skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a highly regulated, BRC‑accredited food manufacturing site in Colne. The role focuses on planned maintenance of critical assets, ensuring operational continuity and minimizing downtime across production lines.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned maintenance tasks on assets in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, including equipment maintenance logs, inspections, and repairs.
* Work closely with the production and hygiene teams to complete scheduled maintenance activities.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety standards, health and safety regulations, and BRC accreditation requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within a food manufacturing or BRC‑regulated environment.
* Multi‑skilled engineer able to work on both mechanical and electrical systems; familiarity with industrial food processing machinery.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations (BRC standards) and an understanding of health and safety practices within a food production setting.
