Teaching Assistant - SEN School (All-Through)
Location: Kirkham Area
Age Range: 2-19 years old
£95 - £125.89 per day PAYE
Hours:
Monday - Wednesday and Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Thursday : 8:30am - 4:00pm (Staff Training)
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist all-through SEN school in the Kirkham area, supporting children and young people aged 2 to 19 with a range of ASC (Autism Spectrum Conditions).
The school is now seeking a Teaching Assistant / Support Worker / Graduate to join their team, primarily supporting pupils within the secondary department, though the setting caters for learners across all age phases. Pupils present with autism and social anxiety, and the role offers a rewarding opportunity to support confidence, emotional regulation, and independence within a structured and nurturing environment.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis
2. Assisting with learning, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing
3. Helping pupils manage anxiety and access education in a calm, consistent setting
4. Working closely with teaching staff and specialist support teams

The Ideal Candidate:
8. Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or a Graduate seeking SEN experience
9. Understanding of autism and social anxiety, or a strong willingness to learn
10. Patient, empathetic, and confident in building positive relationships
