Overview
We are seeking a proactive and community‑focused Visiting Available Homes Officer to join our team. This role combines customer‑facing duties with essential administrative tasks, all geared toward minimising the time a property remains empty and ensuring a high‑quality service for our customers.
The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a positive mindset and a genuine willingness to contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Property Visits & Customer Engagement
* Carry out property inspections to ensure homes meet required standards.
* Conduct viewings with prospective tenants across the local region.
* Complete tenancy sign‑up appointments, offering excellent customer service throughout the process.
Operational Efficiency
* Work proactively to reduce void times and ensure properties are let as quickly and efficiently as possible.
* Liaise with internal teams and contractors to resolve issues affecting property readiness.
Administrative Duties
* Maintain accurate and timely records of all inspections, viewings, and sign‑ups.
* Manage relevant documentation and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.
* Provide flexible administrative support based on operational needs.
About the Role
This is a hybrid position, requiring work across:
* Home
* Office (Leatherhead or Haywards Heath)
* Local region (regular travel across Brighton & Chichester) – Mileage will be paid for all authorised travel.
Essential Requirements
* Full driving licence and access to a car (mandatory)
* Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the region
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Positive, solution‑focused attitude
* Ability to work flexibly across both community‑based and administrative tasks
* Basic DBS clearance (required for appointment)
