You will work within a technical support / technical service team that provide engineering support for electrical systems / control systems installed across the UK rail sector. You will also work alongside project teams to carry out in-house testing and onsite commissioning activities. Truly varied role for an Electrical Engineer / Electronics Engineer.
The Technical Support Engineer job will suit:
* We are looking for a candidate with an electrical engineering / electronics engineering / control systems background that would enjoy a truly varied engineering role including product service and repair, providing product technical support to customers and engineering teams, product testing, and onsite support.
* Specific knowledge of PLC programming, control systems, SCADA systems or similar technology would be advantageous.
* You are likely to hold a relevant engineering qualification in an electrical engineering, electronics engineering or similar engineering discipline.
* Able to undertake some UK travel from time-to-time – You will need a Full UK driving license.
This Technical Support Engineer will involve:
* Provide product maintenance support to the rail systems engineering team.
* Carry out planned service and repair of industry leading products and systems
* Provide some onsite commissioning support to engineering teams as required – not frequent / heavy amount of travel.
* Communicating with internal engineering teams and customers.
