Purpose Statement: Inventory Handlers are responsible for performing site warehousing functions that support the overall manufacturing operations and other customer-related activities.
Key Job Accountabilities:
1. Understands and follows Plexus quality policy guidelines, customer specifications and adheres to regulatory compliance.
2. Able to work independently without supervision and escalate information as necessary to leaders to have urgent and important tasks addressed.
3. Quickly adapts to change, and is proficient in priority management and decision making.
4. Supports continuous improvement initiatives and actively participates in improving work environment.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
5. A High School diploma or GED is preferred.
6. One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
7. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Other Qualifications:
8. Basic computer skills required
9. Strong attention to detail
10. Self motivated
11. Ability to interpret, receive direction and apply both written and oral communication
12. Flexible to quickly adapt to learning new tasks, moving to new areas to meet changing customer demands
13. Flexible and able to work overtime, nights, various shifts and weekends as required
14. Flexible to work in multiple areas as required
15. Demonstrated competencies in: teamwork, professional demeanor, quality, job knowledge, communication, problem solving and lean principles, flexibility, attendance and timeliness
16. General office equipment and materials
17. Material Handling Equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, bar code scanners, etc.
18. Able to alternate or be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
19. Able to lift, reach, push, pull up to 45 pounds as required
20. Able and willing to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required for assigned area
Physical Requirements:
21. The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
Travel Requirements:
22. Less than 40%
