About the Role Were looking for a friendly, experienced, and organised LED Department Manager to look after the entire lifecycle of our LED projects
from design and production through to installation and ongoing maintenance. This is a hands-on, leadership role where youll use both your technical know-how and your people skills to deliver high-quality LED solutions for our retail clients across the UK and Europe. Your Key Responsibilities Youll take the lead in making sure our LED team is supported and that projects run smoothly, including: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LED sign department
including setting up and installing LED systems (fixtures, controllers, and wiring) both in-house and on-site. Supervising the design, manufacturing, and installation of bespoke LED projects. Keeping projects on track
making sure theyre completed on time, to budget, and to the clients requirements. Supporting and guiding a small team of technicians. Staying on top of stock control and organising tools, equipment, and vehicles. Creating and delivering training to help the team grow their skills. Liaising with clients, suppliers, designers, and project managers, building strong and positive relationships. Supporting the PM team with costing and planning. Providing hands-on help and technical support to clients during installation, on-site or in-house. Keeping everyone safe by ensuring health & safety standards (e.g. BS 7671) and reporting any issues as needed. Carrying out occasional site visits, fixing any on-site problems, and making sure our work is always high quality. Keeping the workspace clean, organised, and up to date
including department boards and equipment checks. Sourcing components and staying up to date with new technologies in LED, lighting, robotics, automation, and more. Visiting trade shows, meeting suppliers, and becoming a champion of new products and trends. Helping manage overtime and identify any bottlenecks
and then working together to improve processes. Be mindful of sustainability in the manufacturing process and disposal Essential Requirements We are looking for someone how has: Proven experience in the signage industry, especially with LED signs. Solid knowledge of LED technology, electrical systems, and installation techniques. Familiarity with health & safety and electrical standards. Previous experience leading a team. Strong communication and organisation skills. A proactive attitude toward learning and self-development. Willingness to travel and work outside of standard hours if needed. Full UK driving licence.
