As a Senior Project Manager at WSP in the PMCM Rail team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex rail projects of regional, national, and international significance. You will ensure that the projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high quality.
Our Senior Project Managers are proactive leaders who manage requirements, budgets, schedules, and risks, and influence others to deliver successfully. They possess strong technical skills, communicate clearly, and are problem-solvers willing to take on new challenges. We work closely with external clients and multidisciplinary teams, utilizing WSP offices, client offices, and site locations to deliver projects of strategic importance.

Your Role Includes:
* Coordinating disciplines through project meetings and workshops to resolve issues and meet safety, functional, and regulatory requirements.
* Establishing processes and procedures with the Client’s team for project management.
* Acting as the main contact for the client, ensuring their needs are met during design and construction.
* Developing and maintaining client relationships through effective communication.
* Preparing monthly project reports and data scenarios for senior management.
* Engaging with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and community groups.
* Facilitating meetings, presentations, and progress reports.
* Managing contracts, budgets, and resources to ensure project success.
* Handling changes, delays, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Creating and managing RFIs, early warnings, and communications.
What We Look For:
* Leadership in safety, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
* Experience defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
* Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
* Track record of successful project delivery, especially in rail or similar sectors.
* Relevant engineering or management degree; professional memberships or nearing chartership preferred.
* Certifications like APM, MSP, PMI, PRINCE2, Six Sigma are advantageous.
* 10+ years in project management, including technical and project controls experience.
* Experience with organizations like Network Rail, HS2, TfGM is beneficial.
* NEC4 Project Manager accreditation is required.
