Affinity Workforce is seeking a dedicated Autism Support Worker to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Romford area.
This school provides individualised support to pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, cerebral palsy, and behaviours that challenge.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide classroom support to pupils with SEND, ensuring their learning and wellbeing needs are met.
* Assist with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Support students during meal times and throughout the school day.
* Help with physical needs, including safe moving and handling.
* Promote independence and encourage positive social interactions.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Who We're Looking For
* Individuals with experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
* Confidence in providing personal care and managing challenging behaviours.
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
* Previous experience in a school or care setting is desirable.

Role Details
* Full-time and part-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30 (term time only)
* Immediate start
* Subject to referencing and enhanced DBS checks (including adult and child barred lists)
