An exciting opportunity has arisen at Writtle Surgery for a part-time experienced medical secretary to join the well-established, friendly team.
Main duties of the job
* Manage all telephone and email enquiries.
* Manage referrals to secondary care.
* Audio typing of GP correspondence using a digital dictation system.
* Liaise with patients about their care and assist GPs with negotiating care pathways.

We have 3 salaried GPs, along with a fully staffed team including practice nurses, dispensers, secretaries, administrators, clinical pharmacists, and receptionists. * Excellent general IT skills, including MS Office; experience with a clinical system is preferred.
* Understanding of confidentiality and data security requirements.
* Ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to cover colleagues' sickness or holiday.
