We are looking a Stage & Props Technician to support the delivery of outstanding productions in Stratford‑upon‑Avon and beyond. Your work will contribute directly to Creative Brilliance—collaborating with production and technical teams and ensuring our spaces, processes, and performances remain safe, professional, and exceptional.
Reporting to the Head of Stage, key areas of responsibility include (please see the role profile for the comprehensive list):
* Assisting with staging, rigging, slinging, and basic stage carpentry as required.
* Supporting smooth get‑ins, rehearsals, performances, changeovers, and get‑outs, taking on assigned roles during work calls.
* Liaising with colleagues across Production and Technical Departments on show‑specific stage, props, and rigging requirements.
* Contributing to work undertaken in our workshops at TBR and stores at Farrs.
* Ensuring stage and props areas are prepared to agreed design and safety standards before rehearsals and performances.
To be suitable for this role, it is desirable that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* Knowledge of theatre staging, basic stage carpentry, scenic shifting, and props show running.
* Experience working effectively as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence working in front of large audiences (e.g., during scene changes).
* Working understanding of stage and props tools and equipment.
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely, including responding quickly to last‑minute changes.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position, for 12 months, based in Stratford upon Avon. You will be working 44 hours per week; evening and weekend working will be required.
