Infection Prevention and Control Specialist Support Worker at Provide Community
Responsibilities
* Develop specialist knowledge of infection prevention to support and improve management and quality of practice by delivering national directives and developing local quality, patient safety and safe systems of working.
* Advise on IPC matters and deliver IPC education and training; act as an IPC role model with high visibility across services.
* Utilise IT tools to develop audit tools and undertake audit and surveillance to identify IPC risks.
* Visit and work across a variety of settings to advise on IPC and ensure evidence-based practice meets the needs of different service user groups.
* Clarify and explain microbiological results and implications on management of patients or service users where needed.
* Develop guidance and education resources and support the link practitioner Infection prevention and Control programme.
