Nursery Playworker
Location: South Gloucester | Flexible Days
Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified and experienced Playworker to join a lively and engaging play environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, and build confidence through play. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about providing high‑quality play opportunities and enjoys working in a fast‑paced, energetic setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Playworker, you will help create a safe, exciting, and inclusive space where children can unwind, make friends, and enjoy purposeful play. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
* Leading and supporting a variety of play-based activities
* Encouraging creativity, teamwork, confidence, and independence
* Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play sessions
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Setting up and maintaining safe, engaging play environments
* Supporting daily routines such as snack times and transitions
* Building warm, supportive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
We’d Love to Hear From You If You:
* Have a qualification in Early Years or Play Work.
* Have experience working with children (formal or informal)
Examples: coaching, volunteering, childcare, youth groups, tutoring, holiday clubs, babysitting
* Are energetic, enthusiastic, and enjoy being active
* Have a friendly, patient, and positive approach
* Can work well as part of a supportive team
* Are reliable, confident, and able to engage groups of children
* Are willing to obtain a DBS check (support available)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
