We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
* Encourage customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Work across all store areas, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understand your store’s performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of your shift for accurate payment.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep everyone safe.
* Follow the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining your actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of your Shift Leader and Store Manager.
* Follow all training to ensure safety and legality.
* If your store has a Post Office Local, your duties will include managing day-to-day operations of the post office. You will need to pass a Post Office Financial and criminal background check; failure to do so will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
