Hill McGlynn is currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a long‑term freelance role with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
The Role
You will be based out of our client's Farringdon office, working on a hybrid basis with two days per week from home. The role will involve supporting key projects within the infrastructure and energy sectors, with a focus on generators and data centres.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing all commercial aspects of M&E projects from inception through to completion
* Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
* Procurement and subcontractor management
* Valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success
Requirements
* Strong background in M&E Quantity Surveying (preferred)
* Alternatively, experience working for a main contractor in a similar capacity
* Proven ability to manage multiple packages and deliver projects successfully
* Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
