We are working with a leading engineering and automotive manufacturing company specialising in high-performance carbon fibre components for the luxury automotive and Formula 1 sectors. With over 40 years of industry experience and a strong reputation for innovation and quality, the company operates to the highest manufacturing standards.
Due to continued growth and expansion across multiple sites, they are now looking for motivated individuals to join their team through a Paint Apprenticeship programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career within the industry while gaining a recognised Engineering Operative Level 2 qualification.
Apprenticeship Details
Monday to Friday
8:00am - 4:30pm
Apprenticeship duration: 18-24 months
On-site training support provided every couple of weeks by the apprenticeship providerThe company offers an excellent benefits package including:

Paint Apprenticeship - Role Overview
You will learn specialist paint and finishing techniques as part of the manufacturing process, ensuring all work meets strict quality standards.
This apprenticeship role will provide hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working towards a recognised qualification and company approval standards.
Key Responsibilities
Using the correct materials and tools safely and effectively
Inspecting finished parts for defects before progressing through production
Following hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal procedures
Working to detailed instructions and quality standards
Learning paint preparation and finishing processes
Completing quality checks on finished components
Producing high-quality parts within set timeframes
Meeting customer and production requirements
Adhering to PPE and health & safety requirements
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Skills You Will Learn
Spray painting techniques and troubleshooting paint defects
Flatting, polishing, and rectification processes
Preparation of raw parts for primer application
Preparation of primer surfaces for topcoat application
Safe use of paint and finishing equipment
Removing imperfections from paint finishes
Carbon fibre preparation for visual and coloured finishes
Surface correction and panel preparation techniques
Use of fillers for pinholes and voids
Masking and cleaning procedures for spraying
