Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Design Team Leader, you will: Undertake feasibility and design work on various highways and civil engineering schemes within the current legislative framework Analyse engineering problems, apply technical expertise and engineering judgement to produce solutions that meet legal and management objectives Identify, prepare, design, plan, programme, and order works and services Assist in managing and monitoring works programmes or services to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery Liaise directly with Elected Members, Parish Councils, public, and stakeholders as required Manage projects from feasibility to on-site delivery, including the Traffic Regulation process Job Requirements: Experience in highway design and traffic engineering Proficient in AutoCAD 2D Ability to use MS packages - Word, Excel, and Outlook Understanding of Highway and Traffic Legislation, relevant design procedures, and standards Educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Civil Engineering (desirable) Membership of a relevant professional institution at Eng Tech level or actively working towards IEng level (desirable) Benefits: Competitive salary Opportunities for career progression and technical development Supportive work environment with clear progression routes Exposure to a wide range of projects and disciplines If you are an experienced Highway Design Engineer looking for a role that supports your professional growth and offers exciting project opportunities, we look forward to hearing from you.
