We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in a secondary school in Blackpool starting September 2025. This is a rewarding role where you will provide tailored support to a specific student, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. The Role & Responsibilities As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for: Individualised Support: Providing one-to-one support to a student with SEN, helping them to stay on task, understand concepts, and manage any social or emotional challenges they face. Curriculum Access: Adapting resources and activities under the guidance of the teacher to ensure the student can fully participate in lessons across a range of subjects. Collaboration: Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to monitor the student's progress and contribute to their personalised learning plan. Well-being: Acting as a key pastoral figure, helping the student to build confidence, independence, and positive relationships with their peers. Safeguarding: Upholding the school's safeguarding and child protection policies at all times. Understanding: A strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs, such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
