Teaching Personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Launceston, Callington, and Tavistock. We offer a variety of opportunities including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and permanent positions, allowing you to find a role that fits your schedule and career goals.
This role is ideal for those with experience supporting children in the classroom, including pupils with SEND, and for those looking to develop their career in education.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Working with small groups or individual pupils, including those with additional needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Supporting children with SEND and adapting activities to meet their needs
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or in a school setting, including SEN support (preferred but not essential)
A positive, patient, and supportive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and reliable approach to work
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
