HGV Class 1 Drivers – Middleton People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Middleton, Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for progression. Shifts • Monday to Friday • Day shift start times from 06:00 • Night shift start times from 18:00 Rates of Pay • £17.00 per hour – Monday to Friday (Days) • £18.00 per hour – Monday to Friday (Nights) Benefits • Free on-site parking • Permanent position obtainable • Weekly pay • Overtime available • On-site canteen and vending machines • Training provided • Flexible working patterns • Opportunities to progress into other departments Day-to-Day Duties • Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently • Completing 2–4 store deliveries per shift • Ensuring all loads are safe, compliant and secure • Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting faults to management • Ensuring deliveries are completed in a timely manner • Communicating effectively regarding any issues or delays • Complying with all working time rules and regulations • Completing relevant paperwork accurately Essential Skills • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • Minimum 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10, DD10) • Good customer service and communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous experience completing store deliveries Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support • Paid site induction Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
