Job Description:

Job overview

Are you a newly qualified or experienced Band 5 RMN, looking for an exciting career within Crisis and Home Treatment team? If you think you may be up for the challenge, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for motivated, positive and committed individual to join our well established, supportive and dynamic team with excellent clinical and risk assessment skills which will allow further professional development. Post holders will receive regular supervision and preceptorship if necessary, as well as training provided internally, and courses provided by the trust. There is a fast progression to a band 6 senior nurse practitioner post for the right candidate

Haringey Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team provides a vital service to those experiencing severe mental ill health. The teams provide intensive support to adults experiencing a mental health crisis within their own communities as an alternative to hospital admission. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year and have been recently been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrist (RCPsych – QNCRHTT) with an award which recognises crisis teams that meet the highest standards of provision of care.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a welcoming and supportive team that provides mental health assessment, advice, diagnosis, treatment and care plans to patients and the families supporting them. You will be working as part of a service that responds to adults presenting with acute symptoms of mental ill health, distress, and risk presentations. You will commonly provide interventions and treatment for people presenting with co-morbid mental and physical health care needs, as well as complex biopsychosocial presentations. The team is passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. We strive to use the expertise and resources within our organisation and through our partnerships, to deliver high quality services that are safe and focused on people's recovery. Our Home Treatment and Crisis service provision is a pivotal part of the acute care pathway for people with acute mental health difficulties. Your enthusiasm to provide the best quality of care could be just what we need to expand our team

Working for our organisation

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

Why choose to join the Partnership?

* We believe that by working together, our two Trusts can achieve more for the residents of North Central London and our patients than we can by working apart.
* Deliver the best care using the most up-to-date practise in supporting those with mental health illnesses.
* Transforming and creating a positive environment for our service users, staff and visitors.
* Creating and working together to become a great place to work for all our staff.
* We offer flexible working, a wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives, NHS Pension and so much more.
* Generous Annual Leave Allowance
* NHS Discounts in a large variety of retail stores and services.
* We have excellent internal staff network support groups.

The postholder will need to be comfortable working in an environment of complex matrix management arrangements and will at all times behave and align with our Trusts’ values and cultural pillars:

* We are kind
* We are respectful
* We work together
* We keep things simple
* We are proudly diverse

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The right candidate should be forward thinking, able to work on their own as well as part of the team as the role will involve being responsible for risk assessment and management, care planning and care delivery within a team approach. The post holder should be confident in assessing and managing mental health and social needs and be able to deliver a range of therapeutic techniques. Devising care plans in partnership with the people that are referred, and their carers/families is essential. The post holder will work collaboratively with clients, carers and multiple other agencies to provide effective care to optimize and maintain clients’ mental health and overall functioning, ensuring needs are met
