The Director of Sales is responsible for all sales efforts for Maxx Royal Maldives, which is opening soon. The role involves creating and activating sales strategies, recommending growth initiatives, monitoring progress, and ensuring the brands positioning within the Luxury UK marketplace.
Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Maxx Royal Resorts Sales Headquarters to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.
* Develop and implement sales plans, providing insights for marketing strategies to support business objectives and focus sales efforts on targeted segments.
* Set sales targets and establish reporting mechanisms to track progress.
* Work with operations to develop sales-influenced segments.
* Understand the full commercial strategy to meet sales targets.
* Build relationships with revenue management and reservations teams to enhance property sales.
* Analyze market conditions to maintain competitiveness, including fair market share via STR reports.
* Monitor demand, identify risks and opportunities, and initiate sales activities accordingly.
* Research customer attitudes and concerns, especially among key clients, to forecast revenue trends.
* Serve as the UK market expert.
* Identify and target vertical markets.
* Participate in trade shows, familiarization trips, exhibitions, and industry organizations.
* Produce timely, accurate reports for Maxx Royal Maldives.
* Contribute to the development of annual business and marketing plans with Sales Headquarters.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, with specific experience in the UK market and preferably Maldives.
* Degree in sales, business development, or related fields.
* Assertive, professional, positive, and capable of business development.
* Deep understanding of the UK luxury hotel market.
* Ability to work independently and adapt in a busy environment, with a proven capacity for innovation.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Strong commitment to customer service.
