Learning Support Assistant – ARP (ASD Provision)
Permanent role
The successful applicant will be required to work within our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) and when required, support pupils in the mainstream school.
To ensure these pupils receive the best possible provision to assist their needs, we are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:
· Has knowledge and understanding of ASD and other conditions associated with this diagnosis.
· Can support ASD pupils within mainstream lessons.
· Ability to liaise with staff across the Academy to ensure inclusion of pupils with ASD & SEND.
· Has a calm, caring but firm manner.
· Is flexible with regard to working practices and timings.
· Can undertake educational tasks and attend to the social and personal needs of pupils with ASD, under the guidance of the ASD Lead Teacher.
· Can work with individuals and small groups in order to support the learning and development of pupils with ASD and a variety of SEND needs.
Hours: 30 hours per week
38.6 weeks per annum (Term time + 12 hours to be worked on inset days and twilights in term time).
Salary: Level 2A scale £ £13.05 per hour depending on experience)
Qualifications: Level 2/ NNEB/ BTEC or equivalent childcare qualification preferred. GCSE Maths and English at grades A-C
