Quantum Scholars is currently seeking compassionate, adaptable, and engaging SEND Intervention Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support for pupils accessing alternative provision across Wokingham and the surrounding Berkshire areas.

We welcome applications from experienced tutors, teachers, intervention specialists, learning mentors, SEN professionals, youth workers, pastoral staff, HLTA's, TA's, and individuals with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.
About the Role
You will provide tailored 1:1 intervention support to primary and secondary-aged pupils who are currently outside of mainstream education.
Many of the learners we support have additional needs including:
* SEND
* Autism (ASC)
* ADHD
* SEMH needs
* Behavioural challenges
* School refusal and anxiety
* Medical needs
Sessions take place during school hours either within the pupil's home or in appropriate community settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 intervention sessions
* Support pupils academically, emotionally, and socially
* Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
* Help students improve confidence, engagement, and learning outcomes
* Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
* Support core subjects including English and Maths
* Promote consistency, structure, and positive routines

What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEND or additional needs
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
* Previous experience in tutoring, intervention, mentoring, teaching, youth work, or pastoral support
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Full Right to Work in the UK
* Ability to travel for in-person sessions across Wokingham and surrounding areas
QTS and formal teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential for all opportunities.
A degree in a relevant subject area is advantageous.
