Cover Supervisor – Drama & English (Full-Time, Temporary)

Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Are you passionate about Drama and English and confident leading a classroom? A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Hillingdon is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support learning across Drama and English, working with students from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5.

Your Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
• Deliver engaging, well-structured Drama and English lessons using pre-prepared materials
• Foster a positive, creative classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence
• Support a wide range of learners, including SEND and EAL students
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and safeguarding
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including performances, enrichment activities and events
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support student progress
The Ideal Candidate
You will be:
• Confident covering Drama and English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• A strong communicator with excellent classroom management skills
• Passionate about creative subjects and student engagement
• Adaptable, reliable and calm under pressure
• Experienced in education or a related field (QTS welcomed but not essential for cover supervision)
Experience with GCSE or A-level content, or involvement in school productions and drama clubs, would be a bonus. ECTs and aspiring teachers are very welcome to apply, making this a fantastic stepping stone into teaching.
