I am currently recruiting a client-side Project Director to lead and coordinate a new hyperscale data centre project in Slough. As Project Director you will have full operational, design and commercial control on behalf of the client, a leading global data centre developer.
This company is exciting, they have taken the core principals of consultancy services and added their own contracting expertise to create a more efficient, productive, streamlined and cost-efficient model.
In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity. Project delivery ability, knowledge and proven track record of delivering complex CSA and M&E packages, with project values reaching over £250m.
Responsibilities
* Number one responsibility for timely, cost effective and safe deliver of project on behalf of client
* Responsible for delivery and quality in line with customer and company expectations.
* Co-ordinate works of the general contractor and external supply chain.
* Ensure implementation and maintaining of quality assurance methods/standards to assure delivery of projects.
* Ensure HSEQ standards are delivered and procedures are adhered to the highest level
* Ensure all programmes, plans, method statements and risk assessments are robust, up to date, understood and implemented.
* Ensure that all site records are kept up to date in line with company and legislative requirements.
Skills & experience
* 5+ years in a senior project delivery role
* Data Centre experience is preferable/not essential
* Demonstrable sound and extensive construction technical and legislative knowledge.
* Experience with CSA and M&E packages
* Hard working and profession able attributes
* Degree educated or trade background considered
