Our client is seeking a Design Technology Technician to support a thriving DT department in a secondary school in Manchester. This is a full-time role starting in April 2026, supporting teaching and learning across practical subjects.
DT Technician required on a full-time basis

The successful DT Technician will provide essential technical support, ensuring workshops are safe, well-organised, and fully resourced for lessons.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for lessons
• Maintaining DT machinery and ensuring safe operation
• Supporting health and safety procedures within workshops
• Managing stock levels and ordering materials
• Assisting with displays and student project preparation
• Supporting practical demonstrations where appropriate
Experience and Qualifications
• Previous experience in a DT or workshop environment preferred
• Practical skills with tools and machinery
• Strong awareness of health and safety standards
• Organised and proactive approach
• Legal right to work in the UK
