Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. This role involves ensuring supplier quality standards, overseeing supplier assessments, and managing quality processes within the medical device industry.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Coordinating technical capability assessments of potential new suppliers, monitoring their performance, and managing supplier selection.
2. Overseeing the conduction of DFMAT, SAF, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PV&V, FAI, LRA, and SICR processes.
3. Managing and developing APQP plans as part of the NPI process to ensure quality and compliance.
4. Promoting innovation and high-quality product design through Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration.
5. Ensuring critical quality characteristics are maintained throughout production.
6. Negotiating Supplier Quality Agreements and analyzing defects to determine responsibility.
Work Environment:
* This role requires in-person work at least 3 days per week at our Farnborough, Hampshire office.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering Science, Supply Chain Management, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
* Relevant experience in Quality Engineering, Safety Engineering, or Process Engineering, preferably within the Medical Device industry or a similar regulated sector.
* Experience managing Supplier Quality Management within a contract manufacturer.
* Knowledge of Quality Management Procedures including CAPA and SCAR.
