Executive Office department serves as a central hub for coordination, providing support to the Bank’s management team, driving the execution of key decisions, facilitating the implementation of strategy, raising the Bank’s image and profile. As an External Affairs Officer - Mandarin Speaking, you will responsible for drafting, editing and reviewing a wide range of written materials to support the organisation’s communications. You will be producing high-quality content including speeches, reports, briefing notes and correspondence in both Chinese and English, tailored to different audiences and purposes. You will also be supporting with day-to-day activities and with events delivery. This is full time permanent position. Key responsibilities Draft, edit and review the preparation of written materials related to events and organisational activities, including press releases, news articles, speeches, briefing notes and other communication materials as required Prepare high-quality correspondence and documentation, including letters, reports, agendas, presentation materials and meeting minutes Review, proofread and distribute emails and communications to relevant recipients, ensuring accuracy, clarity and timely delivery Translate documents and materials accurately and professionally between English and Chinese as required Support with planning, coordination and delivery of events from initial concept through to successful completion Provide end-to-end logistical support for events, including venue coordination, supplier liaison, on-site support and post-event follow-up Manage and monitor event budgets, ensuring cost control, accuracy of expenditure, and verification of invoices in line with internal procedures Maintain accurate, well-organised and up-to-date records and filing systems for all event-related documentation Collect, analyse and summarise post-event feedback, including speaker evaluations, sponsor feedback and participant responses, to support the continuous improvement of future events Undertake ad hoc tasks when required Requirements Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing or other relevant subject Demonstrated experience in a report-writing role Experience in event management support is advantageous Experience in invoice payment is a plus Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills Team player who is able to work independently Attention to detail Highly organised and able to work in a fast paced environment Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Problem solving skills Working here Having a presence in the UK for more than 90 years, Bank of China London Branch has been providing an excellent financial service to the market and maintain its competitive edge as an international bank operated in the UK.
