Commercial & Strategic Store Manager

We are working with a growing and well-established business seeking a Commercial & Strategic Store Manager to take full ownership of a key part of their business.
This role goes far beyond traditional store management. While you will manage a small on-site team, the primary focus of this role is commercial performance, strategic decision-making and sales growth. You will be trusted to analyse store performance, evaluate promotional activity, and implement changes that directly increase revenue and profitability. This is a truly exciting opportunity for someone who wants to treat the store as their own business, with the autonomy to shape strategy, test ideas, and drive results – all rewarded through a monthly bonus scheme.
You Will:
* Take full responsibility for driving sales and commercial growth
* Review, analyse and implement promotional activity to maximise performance
* Monitor KPIs, sales trends and margins, using data to inform decision-making
* Identify opportunities to improve product performance and customer spend
* Plan and execute strategic changes that increase footfall and conversion
* Manage and develop a small team, including rotas, recruitment and performance management
* Ensure high store standards and customer experience without losing commercial focus
* Report on performance and results, clearly demonstrating impact
About You:
* Proven experience in pet or animal feed retail
* Someone who gets a real buzz from growing sales and improving performance
* A natural leader with a hands-on approach
* Passionate about customer experience
* Commercial, proactive, and full of ideas
* An existing SQP qualification or the desire/ability to gain one
