Job Introduction
We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our BBU Finance team as Commercial Finance Manager, with responsibility for Eastern Europe and Nordics region. This is a high-impact, multifaceted role, partnering closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to drive performance across the region, while maintaining robust governance and compliance standards.
The role operates across a complex, diverse geographic footprint and requires regular engagement with internal stakeholders, distributor partners, and external service providers. It offers broad exposure to commercial and operational challenges, requiring strong judgement and the ability to navigate complexity effectively.
Main Responsibility
- Lead financial management, reporting, planning, and analysis of commercial performance across a diverse, multi-market region
- Providing clear, timely and insightful financial reporting and analysis to support business performance and decision-making
- Partner cross-functionally to support delivery of business objectives and performance targets
- Leading the planning cycles, including Budget, Full Year Estimate and 5-Year Plan, ensuring alignment to the Finance calendar and stakeholder expectations
- Monitoring and challenging performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommending actions to improve delivery against budget and forecast
- Leading monthly business reviews, consolidating risks and opportunities, and providing clear insight to support performance management
- Supporting strategic planning by ensuring alignment of commercial and financial objectives across the EENO markets
- Providing ad hoc analysis and financial modelling to support key business initiatives and projects
- Driving continuous improvement in finance processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Managing overhead costs, including travel and entertainment, ensuring strong cost control and visibility
- Deputising for the Head of Finance (UK) where required and supporting wider Finance priorities
- Ensure strong governance and compliance across the region, working closely with the Compliance & Controls Manager
- Oversee monthly management and corporate accounting for regional marketing entities
- Coordinate with in-market teams and external accountants to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting
- Maintain full ownership of financial controls, corporate governance, and statutory and tax reporting processes
Our Ideal Candidate
You'll be a qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA), commercially minded, with strong experience in financial planning, reporting and business partnering within a fast-paced environment.
You're confident working with senior stakeholders and able to challenge constructively while providing clear, actionable insight.
You bring a balance of strong technical capability with advanced Excel skills, commercial awareness and a proactive mindset, with a focus on driving performance and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a complex, international environment and work collaboratively with remote teams is essential to success in this role.
