RINA is looking for a motivated Junior Engineer with 2–5 years of industry experience to join its expanding Integrated Lifecycle Support Consulting team. This dynamic and multidisciplinary group brings together experts in Integrated Logistic Support, Product Support Engineering, and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS), offering an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
As a Lifecycle SupportConsultant, you will support complexAerospace andDefence programmes, including MOD engagements focused onreliability and failure modelling,cost modelling, spares forecasting, and statistical analysis. Working within a specialistandwell-established team, you will deliver end-to-end IPS initiatives and build experience across a broad range of projects on some of the mosttechnicallyadvancedmilitaryland, air, sea, and autonomous platforms.
This role can be based out of ourChippenham, Southampton, Leatherhead, or Lincoln .RINAisa smart/hybridworkingorganisation, so living within commuter distance of the offices is not necessarilyrequired.
Responsibilities include
* Support the d elivery of Engineering programmes to ensuresupportrequirements are delivered on time, to budget, and to the requiredquality;
* Perform detailed analytic studies under the direction of the IPS Managerto ensure that the support systems being developed, meet or exceed the specified Reliability,MaintenanceandSupportability requirements, recommending design changes asappropriate;
* Design and implement I PS projects including; AR&Mapportionment, Supportability Analysis (SA), Through Life Costmodelling,FMECAs, Fault Tree Analysisand Codification;
* Development and manage all theElementPlans;
* Support bids &proposals;
* Provide reports on productivity and other performance indicators to the IPS Manager;
* Conduct peer reviews of theIPS Capability Group’soutputs;
* Assist the I PS Manager with augmentingtheIPS capabilitytomeet new and emerging marketdemands;
* Develop innovation initiatives to support future growth.
Experience and qualifications required
In addition to the below requirement, you will need to have at leasttwoyears’post graduatecommercial experience inan Engineering capacity, with a preferable focus on failure analysis, costmodellingor reliability modelling.You will also need to be able to engage with clients with confidenceandbuild trust and credibility.
* A level in Maths or a Science;
* Batchelors degree in Engineering (BEng or MEng), preferable Mechanical;
* Sector experience in either Defence, Energy, Oil/Gas, Marine, Aviation or Transport would be an advantage;
* Some Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M) analysis experience;
* K nowledge of IPS defence standards (including Def Stan 00-600, DLF (JSP886), Def Stan 00-40 series) preferable, but not pre-requisite;
* Working knowledge of design engineering methods and processes (systems engineering) ;
* Due to sensitivity of the work RINA delivers, you will either have existing Security Clearance, or MUST be a British citizen, willing to undertake the vetting process.
