JNC Safety Services has been established since 1999 and is now part of the larger JMG Group – a top 30 UK insurance broker. We provide 24‑hour health and safety support, responding to emergencies, questions, and information requests for our clients.
We are expanding our team in the South‑West Region and offer services including fire risk assessments, CDM compliance, and health and safety training.
We seek an enthusiastic Health and Safety Advisor who can contribute to our expanding client base and help us deliver high‑quality advisory services.
Responsibilities
* Visit clients to perform quality checks on consultancy work and coordinate any necessary amendments with the consulting team.
* Assist clients with the completion of SSIP accreditations (CHAS, SafeContractor, etc.) and support preparation of RIDDOR reports.
* Respond promptly to client requests by telephone or electronically, providing technically and legally accurate health and safety advice in a professional and practical manner.
* Advise clients on specialist areas such as fire, construction, DSEAR, and related regulations.
* Research and gather information required to deliver detailed health and safety guidance and technical support to clients and consultants.
* Assist the Technical Manager in drafting Guidance Notes, Standard Phrases, and Checklists.
All work, except client meetings, will be carried out remotely from our Truro head office.
Qualifications
* Minimum requirement: NEBOSH General or Fire Certificate (or equivalent).
* Membership of IOSH or IFE is desirable.
* Experience in risk assessment and providing health and safety consultancy or fire risk assessment services to a client‑facing environment.
* Experience delivering teaching to adult learners is an advantage.
