Steel Tally Administrator

Starting rate £13.75ph moving up to £15.46ph after 12 weeks. Overtime beyond 37.5 hours paid at 1.33x. 37.5 hours per week. Opportunity for further development. Permanent opportunity for the right candidate.


Job Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Steel Tally Administrator to join a busy operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial and inventory records within a steel logistics company. This role requires a confident administrator who is comfortable working both in the office and out in the yard, supporting a variety of site-based tasks.


Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the central administrator for site documentation and reporting
* Use Hi-Jump for data input, stock management, and system updates
* Complete Excel-based tracking, logs, and administrative tasks
* Manage data input for inbound materials and support weighbridge operations
* Track steel inventory and reconcile stock
* Carry out site inspections and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping
* Visit the yard and sheds to check stock levels and collect required paperwork
* Provide management with reports on inventory levels and collections
* Support the wider team with general administration tasks as needed
* Maintain a safe, compliant, and organised work environment


Requirements

* Experience as a warehouse administrator or similar role
* Confident using Excel and site-based systems (Hi-Jump experience desirable)
* Comfortable working both in an office and yard environment
* Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
* Good communication and organisational ability
