The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities across multiple projects, developing supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, plant, and subcontract servi
ces.
Key Responsibil
ities• Lead and manage the procurement function across multiple residential groundworks pro
jects• Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor packages in line with project require
ments• Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing structures, and framework arrange
ments• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontra
ctors• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportun
ities• Work closely with Commercial, Contracts, and Operational teams to ensure procurement requirements ar
e met• Manage supplier performance and ensure quality and delivery standards are maint
ained• Produce procurement reports and cost analyses for senior manag
ement• Ensure compliance with company procedures and procurement pol
icies• Support project teams with material scheduling and supply chain pla
nning
Skills & Experience Re
quired• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Buying Manager, Senior Buyer, or Procurement Lead within residential groundworks, civil engineering, or constr
uction• Strong understanding of groundworks materials, infrastructure products, and construction supply
chains• Excellent negotiation and supplier management
skills• Experience managing procurement across multiple live pr
ojects• Strong commercial awareness and cost management capa
bility• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly
Excel• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership
skills
