About You

* You are a highly motivated and disciplined individual, perhaps with a background in the armed forces, eager to transition your valuable skills into a commercial sales engineering role.
* While direct sales experience may not be extensive, you possess a natural aptitude for learning new technical concepts quickly and applying them effectively.

About the Company

You would be joining a very well-established, small team at the forefront of supplying industrial-grade memory and data storage products.

* They pride themselves on being a small, agile team of five people where every individual's contribution is vital and directly impacts our growth.
* Their unique rural office setting near Chichester offers a tranquil and inspiring work environment, with views of fields and the South Downs.

Ideal Experience & Outcomes


What you will achieve in your first 6 months and beyond:

* Quickly master our memory product lines to propose effective customer solutions.
* Proactively engage and qualify customers at UK and German trade shows and road shows, generating new leads.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with our colleague in Germany and key manufacturing partners (USA, Germany & Singapore).
* Master our CRM system to efficiently manage sales pipelines and campaigns.
* Nurture leads via phone and email, arranging video and in-person meetings and progressing sales opportunities.
* Our sales cycle can be between 4-5 months up to a few years so your patience in nurturing relationships is key.
* Utilise LinkedIn and other tools to research target companies and identify key contacts.
* Contribute innovative ideas to enhance trade show presence and sales strategies.
* Demonstrate adaptability and support operational tasks, from quotes to dispatch.



We’d love to hear from you if you have the following experience, skills and qualities:

* Prior experience in a technical role, ideally within the IT, hardware, electrical, or electronics sectors, where you developed a strong technical foundation.
* Familiarity with CRM systems, or a proven ability to quickly learn and master new software.
* A track record of achieving objectives in challenging environments, demonstrating your drive and determination.
* You thrive within small teams and are looking for an office-based role in Chichester with occasional travel for trade shows (4-5 weeks per year).



Overview (Salary, Benefits and Hiring Process):

* Salary: £45,000 to £50,000
* Company Performance Bonus: up to 15% each year
* Based: Just outside Chichester, Monday to Thursday Office-based, Friday from home with some travel for trade shows (4-5 weeks per year) - potential for one more day WFH per week
* Hours: 40 hours per week with flex for family / caring responsibilities
