We’re looking for an outstanding leader with deep expertise in AI and digital transformation to join our Transformation Team. This senior leadership role will shape the future of how we adopt and embed AI across the Royal Devon, ensuring that innovations are delivered safely, ethically, and at pace.
You’ll be responsible for strategic design, planning, and delivery of complex programmes, while also leading and developing a talented team.
About the Role
The Senior Programme Manager (AI and Digital) will play a pivotal role in the Royal Devon’s AI and digital transformation. Responsible for driving the safe and ethical adoption of AI and digital technologies, the successful candidate will build organisational capability and culture while ensuring that staff are supported to understand, trust, and adopt AI and automation.
Working in close partnership with operational, clinical, and strategic colleagues, you’ll lead the delivery of the AI Transformation Framework – from process redesign and proof‑of‑concept pilots to building long‑term organisational capability.
This role demands both visionary leadership and hands‑on delivery, balancing strategic oversight with practical execution to guide the Royal Devon into a new era of digital innovation.

* Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in service redesign
* Proven expertise in programme and project management methodologies
* Strong analytical skills to interpret and present highly complex data
* Proven experience leading large‑scale transformation or improvement programmes within healthcare
* A passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours/week Monday - Friday (Flexible/Hybrid working available).
