Duties & Responsibilities
* Production Leadership
* Own daily production operations: planning, scheduling, and execution of production runs.
* Build and track KPIs (output, first-pass yield, OEE, right-first-time, safety).
* Perform and oversee build and testing of products to specification.
* Safety & Compliance
* Champion a zero?harm culture; run toolbox talks and safety training.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations; keep records current.
* Maintain and improve processes aligned to ISO 9001.
* People Management
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–6; run performance reviews and skills matrices.
* Manage rotas, holidays, and absences to ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Address conduct/performance fairly and consistently per policy.
* Quality & Continuous Improvement
* Drive right?first?time builds; coordinate non?conformances and corrective actions.
* Apply lean principles (5S, visual management, standard work) to reduce waste.
* Cross?Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Purchasing to align materials and lead times.
* Partner with Sales to meet delivery commitments and communicate status.
* Contribute to capacity planning and mid?term resource planning.
* Systems & Reporting
* Maintain production plans in Excel/ERP; ensure accurate work orders and traceability.
* Produce concise daily/weekly reports on output, quality, and safety.
Requirements
* Experience
* 3–5 years in a Production Supervisor/Manager (or similar) role in manufacturing.
* Background in pumping or rotating equipment is ideal.
* Proven team leadership in a hands?on environment (build/test exposure).
* Technical
* Working knowledge of manual lathes, mechanical assembly, and product testing.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel; experience with basic ERP systems.
* Understanding of ISO 9001 and shop?floor documentation.
* Education (Desirable)
* Qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.

Pay, Hours & Location
* Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year (competitive, DOE)
* Hours: Mon–Thu 08:15–17:00, Fri 08:15–14:00
* Location: Onsite at our Irlam, Manchester facility
