Exciting Opportunity: Band 6 Infusion Specialist – IVAS Infusion Unit, Frimley Site

This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. As a Band 6 Infusion Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation and administration of intravenous therapies, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment for patients requiring a wide range of infusion services.

Main duties of the job
Support the running of the IVAS infusion unit delivering outpatient, same day infusions. This post will manage the Zoledronic Acid infusion Service and will assist with the management and support of the junior infusion nurses and promote the delivery of exceptional and high standards of care for patient in the IVAS unit.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
NMC Registered 1st Level Nurse
Teaching, assessing and mentorship qualification with experience in teaching individuals from a range of disciplines including nursing medicine
Evidence of on-going educational development
Desirable criteria
Willing to undertake BS/MSc in Nursing studies
Non-medical prescribing
Experience
Essential criteria
Some experience at Band 6 nursing
Experience of audit/data collection Ability to link evidence-based knowledge to practice

Previously or currently presented information to national meetings
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
Excellent interpersonal skills and time management
Clinical skills to include: -Vascular Access - Venepuncture - Cannulation - All aspects of IV therapy administration
Computer Literacy skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office package including Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and as a member of multidisciplinary team
