Social Media Executive – Chobham, Surrey £28,000 - £31,000 DOE plus benefits Our client is a highly successful digital and creative agency, and they are recruiting a confident, delivery-focused Social Media Executive to own the day-to-day planning, creation, and optimisation of social content across a portfolio of client accounts. The ideal candidate will take agreed strategies and turn them into organised, high-quality, on-brand content that performs. You will manage always-on activity, community engagement and reporting, while collaborating with designers, video editors, account managers and an intern to ensure their output is consistent, creative, and commercially focused. You will be trusted to manage your accounts responsibly, spot opportunities, protect brand reputations and continuously improve performance. This is a full-time permanent role working onsite at the office. Responsibilities Campaign planning & content delivery. Translate approved social strategies into structured monthly content calendars. Lead content ideation, copywriting and briefing of visual assets across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X & YouTube. Own scheduling and publishing across your accounts. Community management Take day-to-day responsibility for managing comments, messages, and brand mentions. Respond confidently within agreed tone of voice and moderation guidelines. Escalate sensitive or reputational issues appropriately and efficiently. Reporting, insight & optimisation Produce regular performance reports using native platform analytics and third-party tools. Turn data into clear, commercial insight and actionable recommendations. Continuously refine content formats, messaging and posting patterns based on performance trends. Client collaboration Act as the day-to-day operational social contact for your accounts. Manage approvals, small amends and routine queries professionally and proactively. Support client review meetings, confidently talking through performance, content plans and next steps. Shoots & campaign support Plan and coordinate social-led content shoots, including shot lists and on-the-day capture. Organise assets efficiently for internal use, ensuring content flows smoothly into schedules. Think social-first at every stage of campaign activation. Supporting the wider team Work closely with the social intern, delegating structured tasks and providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with account management, creative and development teams to ensure social is integrated into wider campaigns. What they are looking for Experience in a social media role, ideally within an agency managing multiple brands. Proven experience delivering both always-on content and campaign activity across multiple platforms. Strong copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail and adaptability across sectors. Experience managing community engagement for high-visibility brands, with sound judgement. Confidence using social management and reporting tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout, Hootsuite or similar. Comfortable working with data and turning numbers into insight.
