Were looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the National Waterways Museum in the heart of Gloucester Docks. Volunteers are central to our purpose, helping keep the history of the docks and the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal alive through historical introductions, gift shop and admissions assistance, and behind‑the‑scenes support of the site and exhibits.
We look for volunteers with an interest in local history (bonus) and an eagerness to communicate, collaborate and help others.

Our Ambassadors promote the value of our nations canals and rivers by attending events, representing the Trust, and engaging with the public. They help connect people to our unique environment and raise awareness of waterways.

* Promoting the waterways in other ways within your local community
* Assisting at events at our museums and attractions to share our collections
