Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in the heart of Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of care needs, including residential and nursing care. It offers the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care, and wellbeing of our residents.
All team members are hand-selected for their warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We have maintained a policy of employing a permanent staff team for over 5 years to ensure continuity of care, with all staff paid at or above the national minimum wage.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the smooth running of the care home. We offer full-time contracts with an excellent hourly rate of £12.60. Shift times are 19:45 – 08:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
* Deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
* Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
* Model best practice when delivering care.
* Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with care plans.
* Contribute to the daily records of residents.
* Participate in effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently and effectively.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility or contact.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
* Care certificate or equivalent, or a willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
* Good knowledge of care practices related to older people.
* Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
* Ability to work well within a team.
* Self-motivation and confidence.
