CT Clinical Lead Radiographer

Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH) has a vacancy for a CT Clinical Site Lead to join our dedicated team of Radiographers that are offering outstanding CT services to our patients.
You will be joining the department at a very exciting time when our Radiology Department has engaged in a fully managed equipment replacement programme. This will result in a departmental refurbishment and installation of new imaging equipment incorporating the latest technology.
RHCH has 2 brand new Canon CT scanners, 1 Prime and 1 Prism. We also have a further CT scanner in our CDC site in Andover and the post holder would need to rotate across all sites.
We also work closely with our sister site in Basingstoke.
Overview
RHCH is part of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for leading the CT service at RHCH, including but not limited to taking accountability for training and protocol management.
Responsibilities
* Lead the CT service at RHCH and ensure delivery of high-quality imaging services
* Oversee training and protocol management for CT procedures
HHFT supports specialist services for rare and complex illnesses for patients from across the UK, including liver cancer, colorectal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritoneal. We undertake a wide variety of CT imaging examinations to complement these specialities including cardiac, trauma, body imaging and CT colonography. We also perform a wide range of vascular, oncological, MSK, trauma and neurological studies as well as offering CT led interventional radiology procedures and an ablation service.
We welcome applications from experienced CT radiographers with effective leadership skills who have a proactive approach to providing outstanding care for every patient. Ideal candidates will be a well organised team player with great clinical knowledge, good communication skills, with the ability to prioritise ever-changing worklists. Excellent working knowledge of CT and patient safety is essential with the ability to participate in our extended day, night and weekend services.

Person Specification
Training & Qualifications
* HCPC Registration
* Degree in Radiography (BSc); DCR or relevant equivalent qualification
* Post graduate qualification in leadership and management
Experience & Knowledge
* Evidence of extensive CT imaging experience
* Previous experience working in the NHS
* Evidence of enhanced specialist knowledge in CT procedures and equipment.
* Evidence of CPD
Skills & Ability
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, medical staff, patients and relatives
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and inspire
* Ability to undertake cardiac CT imaging
* Ability to undertake Colonoscopy CT imaging
