We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of HR Specialists at the 100th Force Support Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
This position is developmental. Incumbent can start at grade 7 or grade 9 dependent on experience; this position is developmental to grade 11. All training must be completed, and regulatory requirements met prior to promotion. Alternatively, if the incumbent has enough appropriate experience, they can be appointed at grade 11.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide recruitment and placement advice and guidance to managers in support of the installation Civilian Personnel Office. You will be responsible for performing a full range of Recruitment and Placement advisory services, providing staffing advisory services based on the serviced organization's local, regional, or national staffing priorities and taking a proactive measure to anticipate the management's needs by prepositioning work products in expectation of new projects and programs. You will also provide continuous technical advice and assistance to management on Human Resources Programs. You will be required to exercise knowledge and skills in applying HR methods and principles, and evaluative methods/ sufficient to advise on, and/or resolve moderately complex problems which can be unprecedented in nature. You will be responsible for preparing written correspondence and other documents, including articles for publication, briefings, reports, orientation materials for new employees, training materials, policy letters, and to comment on impact of new supplements/regulations/directives, local directives, and position papers.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
1. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of the classified title, and the standard practices, methods, and techniques of the occupation sufficient to perform difficult, but well-precedented assignments.
2. Knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives.
3. Knowledge of the occupation to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly.
4. Skill in applying the principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform moderately difficult assignments.
5. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in an appropriate manner with peers and management.
6. Ability to learn and apply analytical investigative techniques to accomplish work in the subject-matter field.

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period
4. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Hours of work Monday to Friday Start and end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organizations flexible working policies.
7. You may be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
