Join our dedicated team as the focal point for all Product Quality matters within our manufacturing operations. Imagine being at the forefront of eliminating poor quality in machining and fitting processes, while fostering a culture of quality awareness and ownership among your colleagues. You will play a vital role in developing and implementing new systems and concepts to tackle quality issues at their source. Your proactive approach will not only support financial targets but also enhance the overall quality of our products.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Encourage a culture of quality awareness by actively engaging with your team and the manufacturing group to achieve relevant KPIs.
2. Drive the reduction of non-conformance costs (NCC) by effectively communicating problems and ensuring focused efforts towards satisfactory solutions.
3. Interface regularly with group managers, engineers, operators, and fitters to report issues and implement process changes.
4. Confirm the dimensional integrity of components and sub-assemblies, reviewing process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency in quality instructions.
5. Investigate discrepancies found during inspections and provide on-line inspection criteria to prevent future issues.
What You Bring
6. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an inspection technician or team leader, with at least 10 years in Quality or a related field.
7. Strong knowledge of Quality Control and inspection techniques is essential.
8. NVQ level 4 to 5 in engineering or an equivalent qualification, along with an Auditor Qualification.
9. Training in process/statistical control, customer care skills, interpersonal skills, and process FMEA is required.
10. A proactive mindset focused on problem-solving and continuous improvement within manufacturing processes.
