Systems Engineer – EW
Initial 12‑month contract. Location: Luton, onsite. Monthly pay: £75 ph, UMB, inside IR35. SC clearance required prior to working onsite.
Our defence and aerospace client has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join their Combat Air line of business for a twelve‑month contract focused on systems for Typhoon. The role will support the development of systems for Typhoon Defensive Aids Systems and requires 80‑100 % (four days per week) on‑site in Luton. The team provides exposure to EW products and subject‑matter experts across domain, product, and technology fields.
The Role
 * Engage with stakeholders and define requirements for system changes
 * Conduct cost and functional performance trade‑offs and evaluate proposed solutions
 * Design and integrate new functionality into an existing system
 * Create Test Plans and Requirements for Verification and Validation of subsystems
 * Execute and analyse test plans and results
 * Create Integration Plans for unit integration into the full system
 * Document management to support design review activities
Essential Skills and Experience
 * Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, particularly problem definition, systems architecture, integration, verification and validation
 * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to steer technical interchange discussions
 * Product Data Management and Change Management using Teamcenter/SharePoint/Confluence
 * Self‑motivated with an aptitude for problem solving and driving challenging issues to a conclusion, alongside excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
 * Ability to obtain SC Clearance for UK‑caveated programmes
