Role Information – Primary School Teacher (Day-to-Day Cover)

Job Description
As a day-to-day cover teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across a variety of primary year groups. You will provide classroom cover for absent staff members, ensuring learning continues seamlessly for pupils. The ideal candidate will be able to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, manage behaviour effectively, and keep pupils motivated and inspired.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
* Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
* Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour management.
* Provide constructive feedback to aid pupil progress.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and fellow staff.
* Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Inspire and engage pupils to achieve their best during cover lessons.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching across primary year groups (essential).
* Strong classroom management skills and the flexibility to adapt.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupil progress.
