Technical Project Manager
Contract: 6 months | Up to £550 per day | Outside IR35 | London (3-5 days per week on-site)
Our client, a major policing organisation, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the upgrade and implementation of their Airwave communications system. You'll take a hands-on leadership role, coordinating technical delivery, managing stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end upgrade and implementation of the Airwave system.
* Oversee technical integrations, configuration, and rollout activities.
* Coordinate with internal teams, policing units, and external suppliers.
* Manage risks, issues, timelines, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with police communications and security frameworks.
* Drive delivery across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in policing, emergency services, or similarly regulated environments.
* Hands-on experience delivering Airwave system upgrades or implementations.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to manage technical and operational workstreams simultaneously.
* SC clearance required; NPPV3 highly desirable.
