If these questions resonate, this Health and Safety Manager role could be a great fit - joining Primafruit, a £200 million turnover business central to the Fresca Group. The business works primarily out of its flagship site in Evesham, sitting as the sole supplier of fresh produce to Waitrose & Partners. This role directly reports into the board of directors, sitting as an important part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Owning day-to-day health and safety management across both operational and office environments, working closely with production and quality teams.
Supporting and guiding managers and team leaders to embed safe working practices across all areas of the site.
Leading on ISO 45001 accreditation and maintaining ISO 14001 systems, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across the business.
Driving cultural engagement - helping all colleagues, regardless of role, to feel part of a strong safety culture.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
Proven experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational environments.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at all levels- from shop floor to senior leadership.
A practical, approachable style that builds trust and encourages accountability.
NEBOSH (or equivalent) as a minimum; a diploma or experience with ISO systems would be an advantage but isn't essential.
