An exciting opportunities has become available to lead the newly established role of Breast Symptomatic within the Breast Services Department, based at Charing Cross Hospital. The redeveloped Breast Imaging service will be responsible for symptomatic and follow up imaging for the Breast Services pathways, including 2D and 3D mammography, stereo biopsies, CEM and CEM biopsies.
Internal applications are invited from HCPC registered Radiographers with significant breast imaging experience, leadership experience, and holding the post graduate certificate in Mammography (UK).
To provide operational management, leadership and technical expertise for the radiographic aspects of the Symptomatic Breast service ensuring that all sites are adequately set up, resourced and staffed.
To provide leadership and technical expertise within the Symptomatic Breast service across the Trust.
To be responsible for the management, organisation, co-ordination and quality assurance of all aspects of the radiographic service within Breast Services.
To professionally lead the team of radiographers.
To participate in clinical governance, audit and risk management within the radiographic service

Main duties of the job

6. BSc Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent
7. Current HPC registration
8. Postgraduate award or Certificate of Competence in Mammography
